Equine Veterinary Surgeons

Charlie Mitchell Director, BVSc BAEDT MRCVS

Charlie joined the team in 2004 and brings a wealth of experience in equine general practice. As well as working as an equine vet, Charlie is responsible for the day to day management of the whole practice, where he has worked for the last 17 years.

Charlie has an interest in all aspects of equine medicine but his main focus is advanced equine dentistry. He is able to perform many dental procedures using the latest techniques at your yard, taking away the need for travel or referral.

Outside of work, Charlie is a keen cyclist and has even broken the ‘end to end’ world record, cycling in tandem from Land’s end to John O’Groats back in 2015. If that wasn’t enough to keep him busy, Charlie and his wife Lara have two children as well as their own two horses.

Grace Millar Veterinary Surgeon BVSc MRCVS

Grace joined the team in 2020 from another busy equine practice in Berkshire. She is interested in all aspects of equine medicine with a particular focus on lameness and poor performance investigation.

In her spare time, Grace is kept busy with her horse and walking two very small dogs, Casper and Mungo.

Registered Veterinary Nurses

Abigail Brocks Registered Veterinary Nurse, Pharmacy & Equine

Abi is our veterinary nurse and joined the practice back in 1996. Having been around horses all of her life, she is an asset to our team. Her main role is to assist our equine vets during dental procedures, radiography and endoscopy but she also manages the laboratory back at the practice.

Outside of work, Abi and her husband Mike can often be found out and about on their horses. They also have two cheeky border terriers called Newt and Quill.

Reception & Office

Megan Cunnah Business Administrator

Megan is our head receptionist at Cedar Equine and looks after our accounts and insurance claims. She joined us in 2015 after obtaining a Diploma in Equine Management at Sparsholt College and working at Liphook Equine Hospital as a groom.

In her spare time, Meg has four of her own horses, Maisie, Flute, Daya and Fleur and competes at novice dressage.

Katie Miles Receptionist, Dispensary Coordinator

Katie joined the reception team at Cedar Equine in 2019 and is also responsible for our dispensary. Often Katie will be the first person at the end of the phone and having grown up around horses, has plenty of equine experience. Katie was involved in pony club locally and competed in her college equestrian team on her horse Eddie.

Outside of work, Katie and her husband Matt can often be found out with their four dogs, Dice, Gyp, Fen and Peggy or with the flock of sheep on their family-run farm.
